1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Roast AI, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Roast AI is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's App Store terms, Apple Media Services terms, and any terms that apply to your Apple account, device, or region.

2. What Roast AI Provides

Roast AI is an entertainment and writing-assistance app that helps generate short, playful roast-style replies, comeback ideas, captions, and related response drafts from text, optional context, screenshots, or photos that you provide.

The app provides drafts for review. It does not send messages for you, post on your behalf, or guarantee that generated text is appropriate for every person, relationship, setting, platform, or conversation.

3. Your Content and Responsibility

You are responsible for the text, screenshots, photos, prompts, context, and other content you submit to Roast AI. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content and use any output you choose to copy or share.

You are responsible for reviewing all generated output before using it. AI-generated content may be wrong, offensive, incomplete, or unsuitable. You should edit or discard any output that is not appropriate.

4. Acceptable Use

Roast AI is intended for playful, consensual, and non-harmful humor. You agree not to use the app to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, intimidate, or abuse another person.
• Generate hateful, discriminatory, or demeaning content targeting protected characteristics.
• Create sexual content involving minors or exploitative content of any kind.
• Submit private, confidential, or sensitive information that you do not have permission to use.
• Impersonate another person or mislead others about generated content.
• Violate any law, platform rule, third-party right, privacy right, intellectual property right, or App Store requirement.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls, entitlement checks, safety systems, backend controls, or security protections.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the app, backend, or third-party services.

5. AI Output Disclaimer

AI output is generated automatically based on the information available to the model and the prompt sent by the app. We do not guarantee that output will be accurate, original, safe, funny, suitable, or accepted by any recipient or platform.

Roast AI does not provide legal, medical, financial, mental health, relationship, employment, or other professional advice. Do not rely on the app for decisions that require a qualified professional.

6. Free Access, Premium Access, and Feature Limits

Roast AI may offer limited free usage, premium subscriptions, trials, or other in-app purchase options. Available products, prices, billing periods, free trial eligibility, and included features may vary by country, App Store configuration, RevenueCat offering, promotion, device, account status, or app version.

Premium access may include benefits such as additional generations, access to certain roast modes, higher usage limits, reduced waiting, or other premium features shown in the app. Feature availability may change when needed for quality, safety, provider limits, platform requirements, or product updates.

7. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

All digital purchases in Roast AI are handled by Apple through in-app purchase. If you start a subscription or free trial, the exact product name, duration, trial period, renewal price, and billing terms shown in the App Store purchase sheet apply to your purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase, unless a free trial or other Apple-approved offer applies.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your Apple account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account subscription settings.
• Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
• Restore purchases is available in the app for eligible purchases tied to the same Apple account.
• Refunds, billing issues, cancellation controls, and subscription management are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.

RevenueCat is used to load live product offerings, validate purchase status, and reflect entitlement access inside the app. If RevenueCat, Apple, network access, or the App Store purchase system is unavailable, purchase status or product display may be delayed.

8. No External Payment Requirement

Roast AI does not require you to use an external payment method for digital app features. Digital premium access offered in the iOS app is purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system.

9. Privacy

Your use of Roast AI is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how text, screenshots, photos, AI requests, analytics, diagnostics, Remote Config, purchase status, and third-party services are handled.

10. Intellectual Property

Roast AI, including its app design, branding, interface, software, website, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by law or these terms.

You retain whatever rights you have in the content you submit. Subject to the Privacy Policy, you grant us the limited rights needed to process your submissions, operate the app, provide AI generation, troubleshoot issues, enforce these terms, and improve safety and reliability.

11. Third-Party Services

Roast AI depends on third-party services such as Apple, RevenueCat, Firebase, Cloudflare, and OpenAI. These services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, availability limits, and regional restrictions. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, billing decisions, platform enforcement, model behavior, or provider policy changes.

12. Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of Roast AI at any time, including features, prompts, models, free usage limits, premium benefits, safety controls, pricing presentation, and backend services. We may also make changes to comply with App Store requirements, legal obligations, provider limits, security needs, or product quality standards.

13. Termination and Enforcement

You may stop using Roast AI at any time. We may restrict or terminate access to the app, backend, or premium features if we believe there has been abuse, fraud, policy violation, security risk, unlawful behavior, entitlement tampering, or misuse of the service.

14. Disclaimers

Roast AI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not guarantee that the app will always generate useful, funny, safe, or appropriate output, or that any particular feature, model, product, price, offer, or subscription package will remain available.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, reputation, opportunities, or relationships arising from your use of Roast AI, AI-generated output, subscriptions, third-party services, or inability to access the app.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service when the app, subscriptions, backend, providers, App Store requirements, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
